Voters reject Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe casino by big margin

Voters in Freetown, Massachusetts, rejected hosting a casino for the Aquinnah
Wampanoag Tribe.
The non-binding referendum saw 959 votes against the casino. Only 308 people supported it.
The tribe wants to build a casino on a 500-acre site on the Freetown border with Lakeville
Voters in Lakeville will consider the casino this Saturday.
“We’re just looking forward to Lakeville right now," Jim McManus, a spokesman for the tribe, told The Taunton Daily Gazette.
