The Aquinnah Wampanoag Tribe has identified three potential gaming sites in Massachusetts.
The tribe met with officials in Freetown and Lakeville on Thursday to discuss a 500-acre site that includes property in both towns. “We’re hopeful that this property’s location is something that the town would be interested in pursuing,” Chairwoman Cheryl Andrews-Maltais told The Taunton Daily Gazette. Freetown has scheduled a May 29 vote on the proposed casino. Leaders in Lakeville are considering a June 2 election. The tribe is meeting today with leaders in Fall River to discuss a gaming site there. Get the Story:
