The Jamul Indian Village of California is looking for a new gaming partner after parting ways with Lakes Entertainment.
The tribe wants to build a $230 million casino on its 6.2-acre reservation. Plans call for a 228,000 square-foot and a parking garage. The tribe owes about $57.2 million to Lakes for work on prior casino plans. "All development related funding came from Lakes in the form of a loan to the tribe to be repaid upon opening the casino," manager Steve Davis told The East County Magazine.
