Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt is trying to find the officials of the Kialegee Tribal Town in order to serve them with a gaming lawsuit.
Pruitt is trying to stop the tribe from building the Red Clay Casino on a restricted Indian allotment. But he says he hasn't been able to identify all of the tribe's official leaders. "We neither will — nor should be expected to — assist you in finalizing incomplete allegations and serving this litigation against our clients," Dennis Whittlesey, an attorney for the tribe, said in an e-mail that was submitted in court, The Tulsa World reported. The state wants a federal judge to speed up the discovery process in the lawsuit, the paper said. Get the Story:
