The Enterprise Rancheria is waiting on California Gov. Jerry Brown (D) to make a decision on its off-reservation casino.
The Bureau of Indian Affairs approved the project last September. Under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, Brown has veto authority over the casino but it's not clear if a decision is imminent. "We believe the governor has a lot on his plate right now, and has a lot of Indian tribal issues on his plate," tribal spokesperson Charles Altekruse told The Marysville/Yuba City Appeal-Democrat.
