Seminole Tribe welcomes public to $150M casino expansion
Friday, February 3, 2012
The Seminole Tribe of Florida unveiled a $150 million expansion of the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek on Thursday.
The facility has doubled in size. The tribe added 700 slot machines, three restaurants, a 2,400-space garage, a players' club and a high-limit area, The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported.
The opening came as lawmakers began debate on a bill to authorize three non-Indian casinos. Passage was seen as difficult, according to news reports.
