As always, Bernero was high energy. He pitched his casino deal to every media outlet that couldn't hide from him. As a fly on the wall watching the Bay Mills Indian Community's endeavor to open a $300 million casino in Port Huron for more than a decade, imagine my astonishment when Bernero claimed Lansing had a done deal for its project with groundbreaking nearly at hand.
