A 96-year-old man hit a $129,697 jackpot at the casino owned by the St. Regis Mohawk Tribe of New York.
Edward Garrow won the money on a progressive slot machine at the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino. He was offered $6,176 a year for 20 years or a lump-sum payment. "My father is 96 years old. He won't be around in 20 years," daugther Holly McQuinn told The Plattsburg Press-Republican. If Garrow accepts the lump-sum payment, the amount will be determined by International Gaming Technology, the paper reported. The Class III gaming compact allows vendors to negotiate the amount.
