The Seminole Tribe of Florida is on track to open a $150 million expansion of the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek in January 2012.
The new facility will offer 120,000 square-feet of gaming space, up from the existing 39,000 square-feet. There's also an outdoor plaza, three restaurants and a 2,400-space parking garage.
To prepare for the opening, the tribe is hiring 800 more people. A job fair will be held on November 2.
"10 years ago this area was just a pond. When I flew in I didn’t recognize it. Look at it now, 1000 employees and 800 more to more,” Chairman Jim Billie said, NBC Miami reported.
