Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority board chair still in limbo
Friday, September 16, 2011
The Saskatchewan Indian Gaming
Authority has yet to reinstate
Kirk Goodtrack as chairman of the board.
SIGA said it would abide by a court ruling that said Goodtrack was improperly ousted. But he remains in limbo until a September 29 meeting.
Goodtrack, who is an attorney, said he was ousted for seeking more accountability.
Some Native leaders say he has a conflict of interest because he represents Native clients with claims against First Nations casinos.
