Tuesday, September 13, 2011

The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut will meet today with the town council in Palmer, Massachusetts, to discuss plans for a casino.

The tribe wants to bid on a casino license for western Massachusetts. Town leaders support the idea and envision upwards of $30 million in tax revenue and up to $13.6 million in slot machine revenue for their community.

Lawmakers are due to start debate on H.3702, the gaming bill, tomorrow.
