"Q: What was your very first job and can you remember how much you got paid?
A: My first job was pushing broom at a local military airbase in San Bernardino, CA. It was a summer job and I received $2.65 an hour or minimum wage. I had no idea how I was getting rich at that rate. Q: What would you say is your best attribute/quality? A: I’m very passionate about my work. I could work more but I can’t sleep less. Q: How did you get started in the gaming industry? A: My tribe, the Pechanga band of Luiseno Indians, was part of a coalition of tribes to legalize Indian gaming in California in 1998. I jumped in the fight when my cousin became the spokesman for the ballot initiative. I found my spot on the frontline and never looked back. Q: How did you arrive at your current role? A: I created it, but hard work and perseverance keep me here." Get the Story:
