Winnebago Tribe prepares to reopen casino with duck boat rides
Wednesday, July 27, 2011
The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska will reopen its casino in Iowa tomorrow with the help of two amphibious duck boats.
The boats will take their first ride to the WinnaVegas Casino at 10am tomorrow morning. Patrons will pay $10 but will get $10 in gaming play.
"We are so excited," Deana Whistler, the casino's marketing director, told KCAU-TV.
The road to the casino was flooded by the Missouri River. The water isn't deep -- only about two feet -- so the duck boats will mainly be driving over rather than floating.
