A Michigan man says he is still working to bring an off-reservation casino to Lansing, the state capital.
Ted O’Dell of the Lansing Jobs Coalition started a petition to put an off-reservation casino on the August 2 primary election ballot. But he didn't gather enough valid signatures in time for a deadline this past Sunday. O'Dell, however, says he has two more chances. He will ask the city council to consider putting the issue on the November 8 general election ballot. If that fails, O'Dell plans to start another petition. Signatures will be due by August 16.
