Tony Sutton, the chairman of the Minnesota Republican Party, has resigned from the board of the Citizens Against Gambling Expansion.
Sutton's involvement was questioned when members of the GOP's email list received messages from CAGE. The group receives funding from the Minnesota Indian Gaming Association. “While I believe the goal of CAGE to stop the expansion of gambling is consistent with our platform, it would be better for me not to serve as a part of any outside organizations while I serve as State Chair," Sutton said in an email to the state party's executive committee, MinnPost.Com reported.
