The Coeur d'Alene Tribe of Idaho doesn't want people to think of Vegas, or anywhere else for that matter, when they visit the newly expanded Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel.
The tribe spent $85 million to add hotel rooms and gaming space to the facility. But a lot of work also went into incorporating tribal culture and history into the design, and the new buildings emphasize the surrounding environment. "It’s nothing like you see in Las Vegas,” CEO David LaSarte-Meeks told The Spokesman Review. “We believe the people who come here are attracted to being in the Inland Northwest.
