No one has applied to run a state-owned casino in southeast Kansas, so the Kansas Lottery has extended deadline to July 21.
State law authorizes a casino in either Crawford or Cherokee county. But a developer who dropped out of the bidding expressed concerns about a casino operated by the Quapaw Tribe just across the border in Oklahoma.
