Local communities will be getting their share of gaming revenues from the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi Indians of Michigan.
The tribe contributed $4.86 million in revenues from the FireKeepers Casino. The FireKeepers Local Revenue Sharing Board is now considering applications to use the money. The first priority goes to communities whose costs increased due to the presence of the casino and the tribe's trust land. The board distributed $74,937.30 to two communities in this category. The board denied another $28,087.20 and postponed $36,026 in requests. Get the Story:
