The recession appears to have had an effect on the The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan, based on the amount of gaming revenues shared with local communities.
This year, the tribe shared nearly $6.2 million. That's down 8.25 percent from last year's total of more than $6.7 million. The drop is even more striking considering that the tribe opened a new gaming facility in 2008.
