The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians can open up to three casinos under its Class III gaming compact with the state.
The tribe opened the Four Winds Casino in August 2007. A new "satellite" facility is moving forward in Hartford Township. “With the economy as it is, I think taking one at a time is probably the best way to go,” Chairman Matt Wesaw told WNDU-TV. The satellite will feature about 500 slot machines and some table games. The Four Winds Casino has 3,000 machines. The compact authorizes another satellite in the Dowagiac area. Get the Story:
