KENNEC has sued the Pinoleville Pomo Nation of California for allegedly failing to pay for the tribal environmental impact report on a proposed casino.
KENNEC says it is owed nearly $162,000 for the report, which was released last month. The lawsuit filed in state court, The Ukiah Daily Journal reported. The tribe plans a 90,000-square-foot casino, a 72,100-square-foot hotel and a five-level parking garage. The facility will be located on the reservation. The tribe's Class III gaming compact requires the tribe to address local impacts of the casino. Get the Story:
