The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians of North Carolina is moving forward with a Class II facility.
The tribal council authorized the acquisition of nearly 794 acres for $6.4 million. The land is located in Cherokee County. Chief Michell Hicks said the facility will include electronic gaming machines and possibly bingo. Get the Story:
