The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut would no longer have a majority stake in the proposed Foxwoods Casino Philadelphia, according to documents filed with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on Wednesday.
The tribe was going to lead the project but faces economic difficulties back home. Gaming mogul Steve Wynn entered the picture last month with plans to finance and operate a $600 million casino in South Philadelphia. Details of the new direction weren't released by the tribe, Wynn or the gaming board. Additional information, including detailed renderings of the casino, is due April 26. Get the Story:
