Tribes in Oregon and Wisconsin saw a decline in their gaming revenues last year, according to the annual Indian Gaming Industry Report.
Oregon's tribal casinos took in $507.4 million last year,a decline of 1.2 percent. In Wisconsin, tribal revenue were $1.24 billion, a drop of nearly 2 percent. "It's a pretty tough business right now," Menominee Nation Chairwoman Lisa Waukau told The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "We're certainly tightening our belts." Overall, tribal gaming facilities took in $26.8 billion last year, according to the report. That represented a slight 1.5 percent increase from 2007. Get the Story:
