The Skokomish Tribe of Washington is shutting down its casino for the winter, and maybe for good.
The last day of operation for the Lucky Dog Casino is Wednesday, The Kitsap Sun reported. About 120 people will lose their jobs.
"The fallout of the recession has finally proven too significant to overcome, and the fallout from banks and the credit crunch have reduced possible financial remedies, especially going into the slow winter season," the tribe state in a statement to the paper.
The casino will be closed for the winter but the general manager said the tribe hasn't said what it will do in spring 2010.
