Wednesday, August 12, 2009

The Poarch Band of Creek Indians of Alabama wanted the "biggest and best" way to promote its new casino so the tribe sent a blimp into the skies.

The 200-foot airship touts the Wind Creek Casino and Hotel, which opened earlier this year The blimp will be in the air for about a year.

"Wind Creek Casino recently opened in January of this year, and it started out as just a casino, but has transformed into a world class destination,” spokesperson Erick Evans told WJHG-TV. “So, to promote Wind Creek Casino and Hotel in a unique way, we wanted to go with the biggest and best, and blow everyone out of the water."

The casino features Class II games.
