Casinos in Las Vegas and Atlantic City have always used cooperative marketing, but the Mashantucket- and Mohegan-controlled tribal casinos have focused on competing with each other. With gambling revenues in decline due to the struggling economy, the two tribes have reached a conclusion they probably should have reached long ago - sometimes it is better to work together. And they should have a lot to work with. Both casinos are great destinations and, for any number of reasons, we think this region we all call home is a better destination than New Jersey."
