The Dry Creek Band of the Pomo Indians saw an 11 percent drop in gaming revenues in the last quarter of 2008 and a 6 percent drop for the entire year.
River Rock Casino reported $31.4 million in revenues in the last quarter of 2008, down from $35.5 million a year prior. For all of 2008, revenues were $130.6 million, down more than 6 percent. The casino is taking steps to cut costs and increase business, an executive said. The tribe delayed a $600 million expansion last year amid the national recession. “Everything is on hold,” acting chief executive officer John Cirrincione told The Santa Rosa Press-Democrat. “The tribe is going to look at all the alternatives.” Get the Story:
