Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe to open first casino

The Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe of Washington will open its first casino in March.

The 7,000 square-foot Elwha River Casino features Class II machines. The tribe spent $4 million on the facility and is putting the final touches in anticipation of the March opening.

The casino is a test for the tribe to determine if there is a market for gambling.
