The Berry Creek Rancheria is the latest California tribe to eliminate casino jobs.
The tribe laid off 50 employees at the Gold Country Casino. That's about 7 percent of the workforce. "As the whole economy has suffered, so has the casino," general manager Jack Fisher told The Oroville Mercury-Register. "It's a very tough time for everyone."
