The Sycuan Band of Kumeyaay Indians has applied for a license to serve liquor at its casino in southern California.
The Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control rejected the tribe's first license in 1993. Opponents were worried about safety on remote highways in San Diego County. The tribe is addressing the concerns by imposing several limits on alcohol at the Sycuan Resort. No drinks will be allowed on the gaming floor.
