The National Indian Gaming Association says the tribal casino industry continues to grow but at a slower pace.
In 2006, the industry saw 12 percent growth. In 2007, however, the rate fell in half, to 5.5 or 6 percent, Indian Country Today reports. Despite the slowdown, NIGA executive director Mark Van Norman is confident that the tribal casino industry will no shrink.
