National Indian Gaming Commission Chairman Phil Hogen plans to return to work next week after suffering a mild stroke.
Hogen, 63, a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe, was at his home in South Dakota when the incident happened. After a day of skiing and working, he became disoriented when he woke up from a nap. "I woke up from the nap and felt groggy and looked at a digital clock and the numbers didn't register," Hogen told The Rapid City Journal. "It was kind of a frightening little episode," he said. Hogen received treatment at the Rapid City Regional Hospital. He plans to be at work in Washington, D.C., on Monday. Get the Story:
