Not all tribes are upset with the Bush administration's new policy that restricts off-reservation gaming.
An attorney for the Cayuga Nation of New York said the policy will stop reservation shopping. "We see it as having a very positive impact because the ruling essentially prohibits Indian nations from reservation shopping," Daniel French told The Syracuse Post-Standard. The Cayugas opposed attempts by the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma to open a casino in New York. The BIA rejected the Seneca-Cayuga application last Friday, saying it was too far from the reservation for tribal members to commute for jobs. Get the Story:
