The documents included a 24-page option agreement for 200 acres. The $1.765 million purchase was not previously made public, according to The Cape Cod Times, which filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the BIA. The 200 acres was purchased by an attorney for the tribe's investor, Herb Strather. The tribe's $8 million federal recognition bid was bankrolled by Strather.
