The Wind River Reservation in Wyoming is already home to two Class III casinos but more development is on the way.
The Eastern Shoshone Tribe just opened a casino and is already planning for a second facility while the Northern Arapaho Tribe has been running its casino for more than a year. Both tribes foresee hotels, conference centers, music venues and other types of development. "If you build the gaming casino, the gamblers will come," Ivan Posey, the chairman of the Eastern Shoshone Business Council told the Associated Press. "I envision our major casinos will have to offer a lot more than just regular casino gambling." The tribes face some limits due to their remote location and the population base. But they have advantages in being the only ones in Wyoming and in nearby states to offer full Class III gaming. Get the Story:
