Wednesday, September 19, 2007

Pojoaque Pueblo in New Mexico celebrated its progress towards building what will be the state's largest resort.

The tribe is building a new casino and a Hilton Hotel along a major interstate. With an 80,000-square-foot casino, a 30-room hotel, restaurants and meeting space, the $280 million Buffalo Thunder Resort surpasses another tribal resort in size.

The tribe currently operates a casino and two hotels, including a Hilton property. The new resort will bring the number of total employees to about 1,600.
