The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians went to the National Conference of State Legislatures in Boston last week to try to win support for amendments to the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act.
But the effort failed when Jacob Coin, a spokesperson for the tribe, was unable to secure meetings with lawmakers and their staffs. So the tribe dropped the issue.
