Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe offers casino deal

The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe of Massachusetts is offering to pay the town of Middleboro $7 million a year to host a casino.

The $7 million would cover the property taxes on land the tribe purchased in the town for a potential casino. Additionally, the deal calls for the tribe to pay for between $100 to $150 million for infrastructure improvements.

Town leaders will vote on the deal on Wednesday.
