The Cachil Dehe Band of Wintun Indians has sued the California Gambling Control Commission over the number of electronic gaming machines allowed at the Colusa Casino Resort.
The tribal-state compact limits the casino to 2,000 Class III machines. The state counts multiscreen gaming terminals as multiple machines. The tribe says the terminals, which are connected to a single device, should count as one machine. “It’s like 10 people betting on a horse race,” an attorney told The Marysville/Yuba City Appeal-Democrat. “You’ve got 10 people betting, but it’s only one race.” Get the Story:
