Saginaw Chippewa Tribe opens 'virtual' casino
Thursday, May 17, 2007
The Saginaw Chippewa Tribe of Michigan has installed "virtual" gaming machines at the Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort.
The machines offer an entirely electronic experience. Players can play roulette and poker with virtual dealers.
"It's pretty cool," player Sharon Lenhart told The Mt. Pleasant Morning Sun. She was attracted to the virtual poker game because she said the live game can be intimidating.
The tribe is the first in Michigan to use the machines. They are being tested in anticipation of being used at a planned gaming facility.
