A bill to restore gaming rights to the Tigua Tribe and the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe was delayed in the Texas House of Representatives.
Tribal members went to the state Capitol to lobby for the measure. But just as debate was scheduled to start, the bill was sent back to a committee for a technical reason, the Associated Press reported. The two tribes operated Class III facilities without a compact.
