In the Loop's "Name the Abramoff Scandal Contest" and you'll never guess who one of the winners is. That's right, Jack Abramoff himself!
Al Kamen of The Washington Post said Abramoff was heard telling acquaintances that if he were going to enter the contest, he would submit "Troglogate." That, of course, is a reference to the "troglodytes" name he used against some of his own tribal clients.
Other winners included: "Bribes 'n' Tribes," "Slots and Yachts," and "Runaway Bribe." But "tasteless variants on Jack's name" were excluded, unfortunately. Too bad, we could have thought of a few ourselves......
Congratulations to all the winners! You get nothing from us though...
