Miss Choctaw Worker Identified

Thanks to a very concerned but proud member of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians, we now know who the unidentified man is in the photo of Interior Secretary Gale Norton and Jack Abramoff. It's none other than Steve Gleason, one of Chief Phillip Martin's ~~white~~ right-hand men!

According to this tribal member, Gleason is the "inspector general" for the tribe. "However, everyone knows he only works for the chief just like the rest of Martins main Non-Indian staff," the person writes.

We thought we had an exclusive with this information but it turns out someone told the Interior Department as well. The web page with the GaleAbramoffChoctaw photo has been updated with Gleason's name.

So instead we are presenting you with a photo gallery of Chief Martin's other ~~white~~ right-hand men. Oh and also a ~~white~~ right-hand woman, who used to be married to one of said men.

Here is C. Bryant Rogers, the tribe's "outside" counsel. He was the one who gave Abramoff's name to the Tigua Tribe of Texas and we all know how well that turned out. He sat at the table for the June 22, 2005, hearing on Abramoff but didn't say anything. Kinda like Chief Martin! Oh wait, he didn't even show up.

Here is Donald Kilgore, Esq, the tribe's attorney general. He accused Abramoff and Michael Scanlon of a "consistent pattern of kickbacks, misappropriated funds, payments induced under false pretenses, and padded billings." No comment.

And here is Nell Rogers, the tribe's "planner" which apparently means she made sure to send out the checks that Abramoff asked for. According to her, this was all for "federal lobbying and grassroots advocacy." What does that mean -- Fighting other tribes using money from your greeting card enterprise? How about sending a "So, Sorry" message to the Poarch Band of Creek Indians then.
