DECEMBER 19, 2000

Heavy winds and chilling temperatures on Monday delayed a ceremony planned as part of the Big Foot Memorial Ride.

The ride is named after Chief Big Foot and traces the route he and others traveled to Wounded Knee in South Dakota where they were massacred in 1890. The ride will conclude on December 29, the day of the massacre.
