Dispute grows over Ridge

Refusing to budge about allowing Homeland Security Director Tom Ridge to testify, the White House has changed its mind about one of his senior aides.

The White House offered to provide Steve Abbot, Ridge's deputy, for an unclassified public briefing. But after Democrats painted this is a victory, the administration wanted the session private.
