An attorney for imprisoned activist Leonard Peltier went before the Supreme Court on Monday to tell of her struggles to get information about her now dead husband out of the federal government.

Jennifer Harbury sued the State Department after it was revealed the government knew the whereabouts of her husband Efrain Bamaca Velasquez, a rebel leader from Guatemala. He died in the custody of a CIA informant.

Harbury said the denial of information prevented her from filing claims against the government. She argued her own case.
