A former Ku Klux Klan organizer running for the Montana State Legislature is coming under fire by members of his own party, who said they won't support the Republican due to his racist and biased views.

Cascade County Republican Party Chairman James Parker Shield, who is also president of the Indian Heritage Association, said the GOP will recruit another party member to oppose John Abarr in the upcoming primary. Shield said Abarr has advocated views against homosexuals and Jews and called for ethnically pure Montana.
