Norton's legal work criticized

Critics of Secretary of Interior nominee Gale Norton question her work to help the state of Alaska fight a Native fishing rights case.

Norton's work on the Katie John case was first reported by The Anchorage Daily News. The Associated Press now reports Norton billed the state $60,000 as part of the Mountain States Legal Foundation friend-of-the-court brief with the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
