You're either for more gambling or for less. Except if you're in Nebraska, where the debate to expand gaming in the state has so many factions and disputes that some say it will be impossible that any one proposal emerges.

Tribes are betting on a constititutional amendment. Race track owners wanted slot machines but lost in a committee vote. Bar owners have a petition. Even churches want a cut of the action.

But whatever the debate, don't be offensive, writes Jodi Rave of The Lincoln Journal Star. In an editorial, she criticizes attorney general candidate and State Sen. Jon Bruning and for making comments linking tribal gaming to prostitution, pornography and drugs.

"I'm not one of the senator's Sarpy County constituents, but that doesn't mean the attorney general candidate can't lose my vote," she writes.
